Corona, Teltec | Crisis management with new recommendations: – Keep a distance between you and the bandage

In recent days, the mayors of Nedre Romerike have discussed the possibility of coordinated measures. The goal is to slow the sharp increase in the number of infections in recent weeks.

Infections are increasing in the area and, on the advice of the mayors of Nedre Romerike, Nittedal Municipality Crisis Management has chosen to issue new advice and recommendations targeting every member of the population. Maintaining a good distance from people outside your group and using bandages in larger crowds is an important prerequisite for reducing infection now.

The increase in respiratory diseases leads to an increase in pressure on services. To prevent the capacity and quality of health services from getting worse than we want them to, we must all take measures to limit the increase and spread of respiratory infections now and more this winter, Medical Officer Erin Teslow at Nettedall says via a press release.

Here are Nittedal’s new tips and recommendations:

  • Stay home if you are sick with new respiratory symptoms – and get tested. See also the FHI flow chart for new respiratory symptoms.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water when you get home, and use alcohol dispensers available in public places.
  • Keep your distance from others as much as possible in public places, preferably at least 1 metre.
  • Wear a face mask if it cannot be kept at least one meter away in public places, such as in shops and on public transport, where you can stay for more than 10-15 minutes.
  • Consider whether you should reduce the number of close contacts.
  • People who have not been vaccinated or who have received only one dose are advised to get vaccinated. Those who are offered a third dose must accept this.

In the past four weeks, there has been a significant proportion of those infected with COVID-19 in Nettedale who do not know where or how they were infected. This may indicate that we have a greater proportion of undiagnosed coronary heart disease in public.

The infection of the COVID-19 virus in Netidale doubled in the last two weeks from one week to another in parallel with other infections of the respiratory system, which puts great pressure on emergency services and general practitioners. The mayor concludes that we want to slow this down before the winter flu season arrives.
