The indictment issued by the US Department of Justice Friday night is based on the fact that Bannon He refused to testify in the committee who investigates the congressional storm on January 6.
The panel, made up of Republicans and Democrats, believes Bannon was instructed by his former boss, Donald Trump, not to testify in the case.
Bannon is charged with one count of refusing to testify, and one count of refusing to comply with the commission’s subpoena. Each indictment carries a minimum sentence of 30 days and one year in prison.
