TORINO (VG) were the top pre-favorites – and they won. This year’s Eurovision winners are Ukraine. Norway ranked tenth.

It soon became clear that Norway had no chance of getting a good standing, with Sweden, Spain and the United Kingdom dominating the vote, until Ukraine created new tension with a massive number of popular votes.

It continued to the end. Competitors failed to match Ukraine’s vote count – Kalush’s Orchestra was great!

It also set a record in the referendum. Ukraine received 439 points from the popular vote and 192 votes from professional juries – a total of 631 – whose presenters during the broadcast noted the superiority of the Portuguese winning song of 2017 with 376 points from the people.

– Thank you very much to everyone who voted and thank you very much for all the support. Rapper and number one player Oli Psyuk said when the victory was a reality, this victory for all Ukrainians.

Subwoolfer put an honest effort on the Eurovision stage, but the strongest impression was Ukraine anyway. However, it was Sweden, Spain and the United Kingdom that received the most votes after the professional jury votes were counted, and the jury remained for the people.

Subwoolfer had good support from the people, and moved up to sixth for a while, but didn’t have a chance to win the whole ball.

It was tenth place in the end.

Norway got the first points from the Netherlands – three pieces. The Netherlands also gave 12 points to Greece and Amanda Tenejord, but it was Spain who started better with 41 points at the start, but was eventually overtaken by Great Britain, who advanced strongly.

Norway also received three points from Germany. Greece was awarded twelve points. We also got points from Bulgaria, Austria, Cyprus, Latvia, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Iceland, which gave us eight points.

On the other hand, Sweden contented itself with three flimsy votes for Norway.

In other words, it was the votes of professional jurors that counted first. They count half the votes – the people’s jury came last.

Subwoolfer had been up there before, but after professional juries voted, the distance to Great Britain was too great.

However, the votes of the people’s jury can make a big adjustment in the conclusion, but after the vote of the professional juries, Norway fell to 17th place by 36 votes, to 283 votes in Great Britain.

– Please help Ukraine, Mariupol. Rapper and first player Oli Psyuk said after the performance that the only thing I ask of you is to help Ukraine, Mariupol.

This appeal may disqualify what should be a non-political event, according to TV2 mentioned earlier tonight.

But the EBU answers this to ask questions from VG about possible disqualification;

We understand the deep feelings that surround Ukraine at the moment, and consider the comments of the Kalush Orchestra and other artists expressing their support for the Ukrainian people as humanitarian and not political in nature.

A wild applause for Subwoolfer

Subwoolfer’s Yellow Wolves gave “Give That Wolf A Banana” a standing ovation in the Turin press room.
