Virgil van Dijk is one of those who spoke warmly of Nunez after two matches against Benfica in the Champions League.

Not the type to feel pressured
The Uruguayan says he feels no pressure on himself, although he would be Liverpool’s most expensive player ever if all items were met.
No, I don’t feel any pressure at all. When I came to Benfica, I was asked the same question. I’m not the type to feel pressured. The player has to feel his pressure from within for things to go well. So, no, there is no extra pressure.
I must have done well to get to Liverpool. And I will make sure to keep it going, to stay on the right path, and not stray from it. It is important to always be humble and keep your legs firmly on the ground.
Nunez has signed a six-year contract, and dreams of a really long career at Liverpool.
– I’m proud and happy, and I came here to contribute to the team. Whether I score goals or not, I will always give my best. Let’s hope it goes well for me, that we win more titles than we already have. I’m not worried about whether I’ll score goals. As a striker, of course, you make a living from scoring goals, but I know if you do one, there will be more.
The most important thing for me is to help the team because they will need me and I will need them. I look forward to meeting my new teammates, training with them and getting to know them, so that everything goes well for us as a team.
The forward scored 48 goals in 85 games for Benfica, which bodes well ahead of his first season on Merseyside.
