Tova Hansen on the strange damage:

– I was finally training with a ball in my leg today, and it feels good.

Here’s what Tuva Hansen told TV 2 on Friday last week. That was the day before the match against New Zealand at the Olival Stadium. She was there in the combat squad, but she didn’t get a single minute.

The reason for this is a rather special injury that she suffered in the cup match against Arna Bjornar on June 15. In a collision, the opponent’s knee got into the thigh. She ended up in bandages and helped off the field.

– I got a strong chicken thigh and then all the fluid accumulated in the knee. I didn’t see the knee the next day, so I was a little worried if it was the knee or the thigh that came off, Hansen tells TV 2.

The stretcher crew had to contribute

The match against Arna-Bjørnar was Brann’s last match led by Alexander Strauss. Shortly before that match, it became clear that the original Bergen player was introduced as the new coach of the Bayern Munich women’s team.

When he was thanked, Hansen was carried across the field after the match:

For Hansen, it was mostly about being patient. She says she has already faced some adversities as the chicken thigh proved so strong that during her first week with the national team she didn’t train fully for a day.

Her desire to be one of the 11 Sjögren to start with in the tournament is great. Whether he’s a defensive player or a midfielder, he has nothing to say to Hansen who wants to play anyway.

He tells Sjögren TV 2 that he loves Hansen’s attitude towards everything and commends her for her strong desire to return to Norway.

However, Hansen doesn’t know when she’s 100 percent back up and ready to play 90 minutes again.
