It looks like Apple is changing the design of the less expensive iPad, we believe the new models MySmartPrice has.
Before launching mobile devices and tablets, accessory manufacturers often send diagrams of both the exterior and dimensions from the manufacturer.
It happens so that they can begin to develop and produce, for example, carrying cases, covers and other things, and from this representative the site claims to have received so-called CAD drawings for the next version of the iPad.
The graphics show an entirely new design that is reminiscent of the more square beauty that Apple has used for both the iPhone and other iPads in recent generations. Other than that, the home button appears to be still there, and the 10th generation iPad also has only one camera on the back – but in turn a new LED flash, which the current version doesn’t.
If the graphics are correct, that also means the iPad will get a small camera bump on the back, which is a change from today. Based on the graphics, it might also look as if the board is getting an upgrade on the speaker front, since there are speaker holes both above and below the screen. If the dimensions of the MySmartPrice were correct, the panel would be somewhat wider than it is today, but also thinner.
One thing the graphics don’t say anything about is whether Apple has finally decided to switch to USB-C charging as well on the cheapest iPad, as it has with all the other iPad models. The dimensions of the charging port can be suitable for both USB-C and Lightning.
The latest prediction about iPad specifications came from 9to5Mac in June, who claimed to have anonymous sources inside Apple who told them Lightning would be replaced by USB-C. Otherwise, the iPad is expected to receive an upgrade on the processor front, from the A13 to the A14 Bionic – as is the case in both the previous generation iPad Air and the iPhone 12 series.
9to5Mac also expected an upgrade in screen size, from the current 10.2 to 10.5, or up to 10.9 inches. Episodic supply chain consultants also expected a screen size change earlier this year.
Apple launched its last three generations of iPad in mid-September, and Tuesday was the day. So some are pointing to September 13 as a possible launch date – possibly with the iPhone 14. As usual, it’s good to know that Apple hasn’t commented on the design or launch date, and the information has yet to be confirmed.
