Klæbo frustrated: – It was easier to break the thigh

– I do not have enough time. Too bad time!

It wasn’t the case for Johannes Høsflot Klæbo when TV 2 followed him on a long, classic-style road trip around Livigno, but what Klæbo points out is that there’s only a month left until his first ski race. He still suffers from a back injury.

– It takes too long. Although I followed all the advice, I’m not ready for the competition. I can calmly walk diagonally, as you saw today, skiing is good, but classic running is out of the question at the moment.

– And is that distance included in the program, whether in Betustolen or in the premiere of the World Cup in Roca?

– If there had been a sprint in Betustolen today, I wouldn’t have gone, so I have to put the remaining month to good use.

– And perhaps the long and hard hill of Ruka is not the best for your injury?

– number!

Klæbo is located at a high altitude in Livigno, Italy with Abi Haakon. He will be here until approximately November 10.

– It was easier to break the thigh

Skiesset needs encouragement during the day and has been visited by roommate Pernille Døsvik. You will be here for a short time. It obviously helps the mood, but hardly injury.

– It’s frustrating, of course. And if you had asked me on July 5th, when this happened, if I would have had this injury for at least 15 weeks, I would probably have laughed at you. But this is the reality. I’ve made progress, but I’m still not ready to race. So now we have to check the other options.

– What you mean?

Other forms of training and other types of therapy so I can get rid of this here. No muscle damage, but a tendon injury and it heals very slowly, obviously taking longer than a broken bone, so it was probably easier for me to break my thigh. Taking the time to help is really starting to get impatient, explains Johannes Husfluth Klæbo.
