Earlier this summer, the family’s father, Paul Walker, received the message you never wanted to receive. Doctors discovered he had stomach cancer, and he only had five months left to live, he writes Belfast Live.
One of Walker’s last wishes is to be able to see his beloved Manchester United at Old Trafford for the last time.
And when the family held a fundraiser, some donated tickets for United’s home game against Newcastle on September 11.
Manchester United have now heard about Walker’s situation and promised him proper treatment of VIPs at Old Trafford. The 37-year-old will be allowed, among other things, to meet all the players and Solskjaer in connection with the match.

The good news was conveyed by Solskjær himself in a videotape sent to Walker.
Thank you so much for being a lifelong supporter of the club, we are really grateful for that. Therefore, I am honored to be able to invite you to the “Theater of Dreams,” Solskjaer said in the video.
Everyone at the club looks forward to welcoming you to Old Trafford and helping you achieve one of your great goals in life. The Norwegian concluded, “Stay smiling, stay positive, and enjoy the fight.”
Olympic medal winner with touch gesture
Walker’s friend, George Kennan, was behind the fundraiser, which led to Walker donating tickets for the match. In addition to tickets, the campaign raised nearly £12,000 (146,000 Norwegian kroner).
Keenan is overwhelmed by the response.
The response has really affected Paul and his family. Keenan told Belfast Live that he will now be able to give his eldest son a memory with his father that he will never forget.
The friend says he never thought the fundraiser would reach what it is.
– I never thought about that, especially since Manchester United should answer it. Keenan concluded by saying that I am very grateful to everyone who supported Walker and his family.
