Johnny Irwin has terminal cancer

When TV presenter Johnny Irwin (48 years old) filmed an episode of the popular program “A Place in the Sun” in August 2020, in Italy, he discovered that something was wrong with his vision.

Soon he went to a medical examination, and a week later he received the news that everyone feared. He only had six months to live.

Irwin was diagnosed with lung cancer that had spread to the brain.

Sick is about to die

In the interview, he said, among other things, that he wanted to share his thoughts now, to get them out of the world. Irwin interviews his wife Jessica, 40, with whom he shares children Rex (3) and twins Rafa and Cormac (2).

– I don’t know how long I have left to live, but I try to stay positive and my attitude is that I’m living with cancer, not that I’m dying of cancer.

On top of that, he makes it clear that he doesn’t make plans in advance – despite the fact that it can be a difficult way of thinking.

– I want to make plans. I want to make memories and capture moments with my family because the truth is my kids will grow up not knowing who their father is and this breaks my heart.

The anchor was diagnosed six months before the birth of the twin sons.

– Do everything I can

In 2020, he first discovered that something was wrong, while driving in Italy. A week after returning home, the diagnosis was clear.

The 48-year-old says one of the hardest things about getting a chilling diagnosis is telling his wife Jessica.

At the time, he was only given six months to live, but with medication and chemotherapy, he was able to stay in business and extend his life.

– One day this will bite me in the ass. But I do everything I can to put it off as long as possible. I owe it to Jess (Guron’s wife) and the kids.
