The secrecy surrounding the appointment of a new County Administrator in the new Vestfold County Municipality was immense. There were a total of six names on the list of applicants that were kept secret from the public. Toril Eeg was one of these names. As justification, she stated that the municipality in which she works is undergoing “ongoing restructuring”.

She went on to say that she was responsible for implementing this, and that publishing the name would be “very unfortunate for the restructuring work that is going on”.

Regardless of whether it is legally correct or not, it shows a strange attitude towards the employees of the organization Eeg is leaving and where it is going.

But most importantly, it is a strange attitude towards those who already pay the 1.7 million kroner they will receive in their salaries every year, and who depend on the services you will provide, the people of Vestfold.
