A queue formed on the E6 after nine cars were involved in a series collision on Romerike on Sunday afternoon.
Operations Director Terry Barstad for the Eastern Police District told VG that no one was seriously injured. Eight people were taken to the emergency department for medical examinations.
“Traffic flows smoothly at the site,” Barstad told VG around 4.40pm.
The collision occurred in the southbound lane between the Dal and Mogreina exits at Romerike. Traffic was initially in one lane only.
– The traffic is chaotic. We managed to get over something, and hopefully we can clean it up very soon. Barstad said earlier Sunday that it will be released and slowly but surely resolved.
Police said the accident occurred when one of the cars slowed down due to the opposite sun.
– The second car did not adjust its speed and collided with car number one from behind. Then the police wrote that the domino effect happened.
Vegtrafikksentralen told VG that six of the nine cars had to be salvaged, while three were able to drive. They have not yet received any report that he was slippery on the road. At 2.50pm the queue extends to Dal.
