The tragic life of Keanu Reeves

Keanu Reeves (58) is something of a rarity as a sweet and respectable boy in Hollywood. There is no shortage of stories of how he put himself aside to help someone else.

It’s been said several times that he took pay cuts on various film projects, on behalf of others — like The Devil’s Advocate in 1997. He then gave up $2 million of his royalties — so that Al Pacino (82) could get involved.

Kind – and sad

He travels underground like a normal person, rising when someone who needs space better than him arrives. He also founded a foundation that helps children with cancer and raises funds for cancer research. But the foundation does not bear his name – he wants to let them help in peace.

The star (76) is a surprise

Many sites have named the cute star of Keanu Hollywood. At the same time, there was always a look of sadness on his face.

Now that veil was gone, and Qian suddenly started to smile with his whole face again.

And the reason for that is simple: he met someone to be with, someone to love, someone to share his life with.

The woman who can finally mend his broken heart is artist Alexandra Grant (49). They have known each other since 2009 but will only become a couple in 2019.

Father ran away

There are many reasons why Keanu has been sad his whole life. He was only three years old when his parents divorced, and his father, Samuel Reeves, ran away. Keanu stayed with his mother, first in Sydney, then in New York, and finally in Toronto.

The father was not interested in keeping in touch. The last time Keanu saw him, he was 13 years old.

Just when his son was rich and famous, Samuel wanted to resume contact – but by then it was too late for Keanu.

At the age of fifteen, Keanu decided to become an actor. Turns out he had a knack for it, and moved to Los Angeles to try and make it big. Here he made good friends – including River Phoenix, whom he met at an audition in 1989.

But in 1993, River suddenly died of an overdose at the age of 23. Keanu is devastated.

– I’m still incredibly sorry. It was very sad. I miss him so much, Keanu told US Weekly two years later.

Nevertheless, the march went well. Keanu was midway through the filming of “Speed” opposite Sandra Bullock (58) when River died, and the movie was put on hold to give him time to grieve.

“I can’t take it anymore.”

When the movie finally came out in 1994, it was well received by women all over the world.

And in 1999 the movie “The Matrix” was released. The movie made Keanu as popular as he could be. And Keanu could smile extra at the film’s March 1999 premiere: He was smitten with a storm!

He died in his mother’s womb

The year before, he had met Jennifer Syme, who was the personal assistant to director David Lynch (76). Omar hit it off right away, and it wasn’t long before the couple agreed to have children.

But then came Christmas Eve 1999, and the biggest tragedy of Keanu’s life: Jennifer gave birth to a daughter, after eight months of pregnancy. The daughter was stillborn.

She was named Ava Archer Syme-Reeves.

A few weeks later, the grieving parents separated. But they couldn’t go on without each other either, so they became lovers again.

Happiness will not last. Less than a year and a half after losing their daughter, a distraught Jennifer is involved in a car accident – and succumbs to her injuries.

Kian helped carry his girlfriend’s coffin – and she was buried next to her daughter.

Years passed, and Keanu kept to himself. He continued to shoot movies, but when he went out in public he had this sad expression on his face.

Then everything finally changed. In 2019, he appeared on the red carpet with a woman. Alexandra Grant gave Keanu a new outlook on life.

– He was depressed for a long time, but with Alexandra’s support and positive attitude, he was able to turn his life around. A source told Life & Style magazine that she was able to get Keanu to open up about his past, his feelings, and move on.

Now he is constantly seen among people – along with his loved ones. Finally, he gets the love of his life back.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Keanu was asked what the worst punishment would be if hell existed.

To live without love, without experiencing it or giving it. He simply replied, It’s a very harsh punishment.
