Former Czech vaulter and national team vaulting coach, Anton Hajek, 36, was reported missing in October after a vacation trip to the island of Langkawi in Malaysia.
After five months with no signs of life, the Czech Ski Federation is now confirming what many feared. Hájek was found dead.
They wrote that the association received news of the death on Friday their websites. She wrote that the cause of death is still unknown Czech newspaper Blissek.

Hájek was a very good ski jumper who made a record 111 World Cup starts and represented the Czech Republic in both the WC and the Olympics. He also holds the Czech Republic’s national record with a distance of 236 metres.
When Dagbladet spoke to the head of Norwegian show jumping, Klas Brede Brathen, in November, he had kind words to say about the Czech show jumping.
He said he knows Hájek well and met him in Holmenkollen during Raw Air in March 2022 at the latest.

Then he worked as a coach for the Czech women’s national team. Before that he was a men’s coach. I remember he had some great jumps on Planica, Bråthen told Dagbladet on the plain in Polish Wisla.
