The first half is still in progress. VG updates the status.

Odermatt crushed everyone in his first giant slalom of the weekend, and the 25-year-old looks far from satisfied after his sixth win (including WC gold) in the discipline this season.

In Sunday’s first round, he drove to the best time, 28 percent ahead of France’s Alexis Pintorault.

Henrik Kristoffersen came third in Saturday’s race, taking his 80th podium with him. He also holds the position to date, 47 hundredths behind Odermatt.

– It’s a tenth or three, and not quite the flow. You just have to try and keep going and hope eventually it fades away.

– Was good at the top, then seemed to get a little negative, is the verdict of Father Lars Kristoffersen about Henrik to Fiplay.

Lukas Prathen is currently in fourth place, 82 one-hundredths behind Odermatt.

– That was hard. When it gets so smooth, I dare not be disciplined enough. It’s disappointing. I just didn’t understand. It’s crazy, Braathen tells Viaplay.

Sunday’s race is the penultimate giant slalom of the season, and World Cup winner Odermatt will seal the giant slalom trophy with a win. Before the race, he has 140 points less than Kristofferson.

You get 100 World Cup points for winning, and the season ends with one race in each discipline at Soldeu in Andorra next week.

Rasmus Windingstad is 2.60 seconds behind Odermatt.

Leif Christian Nestfold-Haugen finished 4.55 seconds behind Odermatt, and did not reach the final round. The 35-year-old retired after the season, and Sunday’s result is not good enough for a World Cup final.

Thus ended Nestvold-Haugen’s World Cup career, and he said goodbye at the finish line in Kranjska Gora. The WC bronze trophy in giant slalom in St. Moritz in 2017 is the highlight of his career.

– He’s had a long and brilliant career, says Viaplay Kjetil expert André Aamodt.

– The results are one thing, but it’s the trips with young people. Of all the trips, Nestvold-Haugen says, about the highlights of his career.

In two weeks, his career will finally end with Trysil’s NM.

Alexander Steen Olsen steadily had problems before finally crashing on the first lap.

Fabian Wilkins-Solheim and Timon Haugan have yet to race the first round which is broadcast live on TV3 and Viaplay.
