According to Bloomberg, the Russian daily Vedomosti wrote, on Wednesday, that Carlsberg had entered into an agreement regarding the sale of its Russian operations to Turkish Anatolia, and referred to two sources familiar with the matter.
A spokesperson for the Danish brewery told Reuters the post was incorrect.
Carlsberg, the brewery in the West with the most exposure to Russia, talked about its sales plans in April last year and that it would simultaneously take writedowns of about DKK 9.9 billion. The plans were of course triggered by the Russian invasion of Ukraine a few weeks before that.

Carlsberg Chairman Henrik Poulsen told shareholders on Monday that the company has reduced the number of potential buyers to fewer than 10, and that it still expects to close an agreement by the end of the second quarter, according to Reuters.
Vedomosti writes in its report that the two parties have not yet concluded negotiations on the terms of trade, which involve eight different breweries, and that the deal could be completed during the first half of the year.
Anadolu Efes, which Carlsberg turned down as a buyer for its Russian operations, is today the fifth-largest brewing company in Europe measured by volume.
