Rental prices for all types of Utleiemegler housing in Oslo increased by 12.4 percent in April, compared to the same month last year. Compared to the previous month, rental prices increased by 7.4 percent.
– There are very few vacant rental properties on the market. This creates additional pressure in the rental market ahead of the summer. We recommend everyone who moves this summer to get out at the right time, says Utleiemegleren’s Director of Sales and Marketing, Geir Skogheim.
– Note that the beginning of the high season is here. Viewers are very well attended, apartments are quickly rented out at “standard” rental rates. Centrally located homes continue to be the most popular and the most sought after are the one and two bedroom apartments. Many students have been searching for housing since late summer.
The number of rental properties is less than in previous years, which will have a significant impact on the high season, which is fast approaching.
– This will lead to a very unbalanced market in the future, with more demand than supply. We view this as a matter of concern, says Utleiemegleren’s regional director, Siri Anne Bernum Halck.
Rising in large parts of the country
The charter agent Asker og Bærum also had a lot of activity in April. Rental prices for all types of housing increased by 1.2 percent compared to last year. Compared to the previous month, rental prices increased by 1.4 percent.
