Here, security researcher Lukas Stefanko writes that there are indications that the iRecorder app is part of an active eavesdropping campaign, but he has not yet been able to link the app to a specific hacker group.

The app reportedly had 50,000 downloads before it was reported and removed from the Google Play Store.

As a result of the warning, Google removed both iRecorder and other apps from developer Coffeeholic Dev.
