TV personality Vendela Kirsebom, best known for shooting swimsuits for Sports Illustrated 30 years ago, is now changing her focus. Instead of posing in front of the camera, she’s in control of the scenes with the launch of her new clothing brand, Vendela Wear, this summer.
With a multi-decade career in the entertainment industry, Kirsebom is now taking an unexpected turn. Reminiscent of her famous swimsuit pictorial in Sports Illustrated, she has now taken a satirical twist by producing swimwear through her own brand. She laughs when she points out the humorous link between her origins and where the clothing brand is produced: “Everything is produced in Turkey. I also produce in Turkey. Made in Turkey is written on all of us.” TV2.

Kirsebom has been busy developing Vendela Wear since December. Her days were filled with hard work, with little time for downtime. “I hardly sleep since then, I’ve been working really hard“,” she admits. But despite the busy schedule, she also made time for love and adventure.
- As part of this new phase, Kirsebom is revitalizing her modeling career by donning swimwear for Vendela Wear. “I still wear bikinis and bathing suits. Why don’t I like them? Even now I can sell them too. It’s something I love,” she said. Kirsibom says excitedly.

The summer of 2023 also seems to be a time for partying and travel. Kirsibom and her husband, Peter Belgaard, recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary. Besides working with Vendela Wear, she plans to spend the summer traveling to various places, including Sweden, the South, and Turkey. In Türkiye have family ties: “My father and his family have a yacht club in Marmaris,” they share. With roots in Turkey, Norway, and Sweden, Kirsibom clearly has an adventurous summer ahead.
