The numbers from Supply Chain Supply Consultants (DSCC) reveal something startling, if not straightforward a surprise In tough economic times: Apple Pro models are selling worse than before.
From 15 to less than 10 percent of the market share
As a general rule, the Pro models are best sellers year after year and new feature after new feature. Now iPhone 14 sales have already surpassed the iPhone 14 Pro globally by 10.7 percent against 9.2 percent. This is a new trend compared to the second quarter of this year where the iPhone 14 Pro was the best-selling OLED mobile phone in the world with a market share of 15.3 percent.
These are the figures for each product globally for mobile phones with OLED screens
- iPhone 14: 15.3 percent
- iPhone 13: 11.1%
- iPhone 14 Pro Max: 10.7%
- iPhone 14 Pro: 9.2 percent
- Samsung S23 Ultra: 5.2 percent
Sales of OLED mobile phones increased 4 percent on a quarterly basis and 1 percent year-over-year. Apple leads with 32 percent market share, down from 39 percent last quarter — Samsung takes second place with 23 percent market share.
It will be interesting to see how the iPhone 15 Pro series performs next year, while it is rumored to be at least NOK 600 more expensive. The price of the iPhone 14 Pro starts at (128GB) 13,990 Norwegian kroner at Apple.
