Carlsen and Niemann have resolved the conflict – and are open to meeting again

Chess players Hans Niemann and Magnus Carlsen successfully resolved the conflict between them.

This was confirmed by Chess.com in A.J press release.

– I’m ready to play against Neyman in future tournaments, if we meet there, Carlsen said in the press release.

– “I’m looking forward to competing against Magnus in a game of chess, not in court,” says Nyman.

The conflict began last September after Carlsen lost to Niemann in the Sinkfield Cup. Carlsen withdrew from the tournament and hinted that the American Neiman cheated.

He later clarified this and made it clear that he would not play against Neiman because he suspected the American of being involved in a crime.

Now he has turned around.

– I acknowledge and understand the report by Chess.com, and the conclusion that there is no evidence that Neyman cheated in his Sinkfield Cup match against me, says Carlsen.

Neyman admitted to cheating in matches on Chess.com when he was 12 and 16, but has always maintained that he never cheated across the board.

Last year, Neiman sued Carlsen, Chess.com and chess player Hikaru Nakamura. He’s laid dead now.

– I am satisfied that my lawsuit against Carlsen and Chess.com has been resolved in a manner acceptable to all, says Neiman.

Neiman also returns to Chess.com after it was banned due to the accusations.
