Stabæk smashed HamKam in the bottom game – his first win since May

(Stabæk – HamKam 5–2) Relegation-threatened Stabæk destroyed and took three very important points against HamKam in the final battle for Eliteserien. The win was Bob Bradley’s first in Stabæk’s comeback.

For the American, he made his debut at home in a 0-1 loss to Brann before his side played 1-1 against Alesund away from home and lost another 0-1 to Tromsø at home.

When HamKam visited Naderode in a postponed match on Wednesday, Bradley’s side beat Hamar FC 5-2. This was Stabæk’s first win since the home match against Vålerenga on 29 May.

Stabæk thus gained 20 points in 15th place in the table – one point behind Haugesund and Sandefjord for the playoffs and the safe place.

Nicolas Falstad put the home team ahead after a quarter of an hour before Mushaga Bakinga added the second goal a quarter of an hour later. John Olaf Norrheim then pulled one back for HamKam after a corner kick.

Just before half-time, Vegard Kongsru was sent off after having a duel with Rasmus Eigen Feng with the handles, and it took a short time before Bakinga increased the lead to 3-1 in the second half.

Nicolai Ness scored the home side’s fourth goal with a long-range shot, and Curtis Edwards then made it 5-1 with 25 minutes remaining.

Morten Björlo pulled one back ten minutes from time, and the match ended 5-2.
