Apple has finally launched iOS 17.1, watchOS 10.1, and macOS Sonoma 14.1.
This is new in iOS 17.1
- AirDrop – Content continues to transfer over the Internet when you move out of AirDrop
- New options to control when the screen goes off (iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max)
- Music – Favorites have been expanded to include songs, albums, and playlists, and you can filter to show your favorites in the library
- The new cover collection offers designs that change colors to reflect the music on your playlist
- Song suggestions appear at the bottom of each playlist, making it easy to add music to match the mood of your playlist

The update also includes the following improvements and bug fixes:
- Ability to select a specific album to use with “Photo Shuffle” on the lock screen
- Support home key for locks issue
- Improved reliability of screen time settings that are synced across devices
- Addresses an issue that could cause the Important Location privacy setting to reset when you move or pair your Apple Watch for the first time
- Fixes an issue where incoming callers’ names would not appear when you were on another call
- Fixes an issue where custom and purchased ringtones would not appear as options for your text tone
- Fixes an issue that could cause the keyboard to become less responsive
- Improved crash detection (all iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 models)
- Fixes an issue that could cause the image to remain displayed
This is new in macOS Sonoma 14.1
- Favorites in Music have been expanded to include songs, albums, and playlists, and you can filter to show your favorites in the library
- Apple warranty status for Mac, AirPods, Beats, and headphones is available in System Preferences
- Fixes an issue where system services settings could be reset in Location Services
- Addresses an issue that may prevent installation of encrypted external drives
This is new in watchOS 10.1
- The double-tap gesture can be used to perform the main action in notifications and most apps, so you can answer a call, play and pause music, pause, and more (available on Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2)
- NameDrop lets you exchange contact information with someone new just by bringing them on board
- Apple Watch near iPhone with iOS 17 or Apple Watch (available on Apple Watch SE 2, Apple Watch Series 7 and later, and Apple Watch Ultra)
- My card is available as an add-on for quick access to NameDrop
- Fixed a bug that caused the Climate section in the Home app to be blank
- Fixes an issue that causes a white selection frame to appear unexpectedly after AssistiveTouch is turned off
- Fixes an issue where cities wouldn’t sync between iPhone and Weather
- Fixes an issue where the scroll bar could appear on the screen unexpectedly
- Fixed a bug that caused the height to be incorrect for some users
