Summer weather can be enjoyed for a few more days, but then it turns into southern Norway. Hence it is central and northern Norway that can expect good weather.
– What is happening this week is that high pressure is building up over the Barents Sea, which provides significantly better weather in the north of the country. This gives dry weather in large parts of the country for the next few days. Then there will be low pressure from Finland that will generally give more gray weather in southern Norway from Thursday, StormGeo meteorologist Bethe Tveita told TV 2.
Drammen set a hot record for September
As of Wednesday, a change in weather is expected in southern Norway.
– Here it will be autumn in general a little more next time. It used to be very hot, but now we’re seeing a very downward trend. Temperatures first drop below 15 degrees on Thursday and Friday, then drop more gradually. There will be a gray weather transition and 10-13 degree østafjells.
On some wet days
The meteorologist describes the weather forecast for southern Norway as a bit choppy.
– On Thursday there will be some rain temporarily in southern Norway, but apart from that, there is somehow not much rain to talk about. There may be some fronts this weekend from the Southwest, and there may be some wetter days in the middle of next week, she says.
She says western Norway gets part of the same development as southern Norway.
It won’t be too cold, but not too hot either. The weather will be autumnal with a maximum of 15 degrees and temperatures generally lower than they have been so far.

High temperatures
When the meteorologist came up with the forecast for central and northern Norway, she said they were expecting better and warmer weather than they had recently.
In the north things are going a little in the opposite direction than in southern Norway. They had gray weather, but here the weather will be generally better and temperatures slightly higher.
Temperatures in Tromsø on Monday morning are about six degrees, Tveta says, with temperatures likely to be around 12-13 degrees. In southern Nordland the temperature can reach 18 degrees on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Also in Trøndelag and Møre og Romsdal, much nice weather is expected in the coming days.
From the middle of next week, there will be high pressure providing good weather in large parts of the country, while there will be low pressure likely to bring rain in western Norway.
