Google Chrome users are warned: Do not ignore this warning

The latest version of Chrome fixes at least six bugs and security issues, including one that has been rated as very serious.

A critical error means that a security vulnerability has been discovered and fraudsters can exploit it.

If you ignore the upgrade, you risk becoming the next target of cybercriminals:

“Google acknowledges the existence of an exploit for CVE-2023-6345,” the tech company announced.

To ensure your computer or laptop stays protected, it’s important to check that you have the latest version of Chrome.

Windows fans should make sure to install version 119.0.6045.199/.200, while MacBook, iMac, or Mac Studio users should look for Chrome 119.0.6045.199.

Chrome updates are typically performed when you close and reopen the browser.

If it’s been a long time since you last closed your browser, you may experience a pending update.

To check, open Chrome and look at the top right. A color-coded icon indicates update status, with green indicating an update in the last 2 days, orange for about 4 days, and red for at least a week.

Google will remain silent about specific details about the bugs until the update is widely implemented, but its seriousness underscores the importance of updating the browser.
