Manchester (VG) (Manchester United – Bayern Munich 0-1) Manchester United’s unfortunate Champions League fall ended with another loss to group leaders Bayern Munich on Tuesday evening.
When Norwegian referee Espen Eskas blew the final whistle, a whistle of light wafted through large parts of the Old Trafford crowd, while the German fans outside the stadium sang “Football is coming home” at the top of their lungs.

Instead, Copenhagen and Mohamed Elyounoussi qualified from the United group with a 1-0 win over third-placed Galatasaray in Parken.

He had every reason to. His team had no final push, despite trying to make moves on the eve, and ultimately ended up defeating Manchester United.
