- In Turkey, Ankarajucu from Ankara are the capital’s only club in the top flight, but Istanbul is by far the largest city and a sunny football beacon in the country.
- The capitals most similar to Oslo at the moment are Berlin, Luxembourg City and Valletta in Malta. In Berlin, Hertha Berlin was eliminated from the German League last season, but at the same time, its neighbor Union surprisingly finished fourth and participated in the Champions League. Al-Ittihad is suffering this season at the bottom.
- In Luxembourg, Racing FC are in mid-table, and in Malta, Valletta are below the middle, but the latter has recently been a dominant club with six league titles from 2010 to 2020.
- In Wales, Cardiff Met is the only club from the capital. But Cardiff City play in the English Premier League system, alongside Swansea, Wrexham and Newport.
- Liechtenstein does not have its own league.
- In the Gibraltar League, all teams play in the same stadium.
