Do not install iOS 17.3 Beta 2

iOS 17.3 has been released in Beta 2, but you shouldn't install it on your iPhone yet.

Stay away from Beta 2 for now

The reason is the complete collapse of some testers. The new beta is very recent, so it's not entirely known whether all models are affected or not. One thing is known: Not everyone experiences this rather fatal error, but it can also occur on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. This has been confirmed. What is happening? Yes, the phone needs endless reboots and never gets to iOS 17.3. The new update contains, among other things, a new trick to stop the thief.

Fortunately, there is a solution, but it requires connecting the mobile phone to the computer using iTunes and downloading and installing iOS 17.3 beta 1 IPSW. Select “Restore” when you are ready to load beta 1. This is not unheard of for beta versions. You may remember the macOS Sonoma bug from this summer:

“The reason is that testers reported major issues after installation: black screen. Users see the mouse cursor, but nothing else. The issue affects the MacBook 14″ M2, MacBook AIr with M1, and MacBook Pro with M1 Max. However, not everyone is experiencing the issue If this happens to you (whether you've updated, or if you can't fix the problem), the solution could be Recovery Mode or simply rebooting several times.
