Before the telecast, betting companies and many MGP supporters expected the three finalists to qualify.
Mira, Frederic Haaland and Mathilde SPZ Ft. Chris Archer and Slam Dunk were forced to give up after not getting enough points.
The road to the final was difficult for Gothminister.
-I have had sinusitis for three days, and I feel bad. “After pulling myself together and eating some chilli, I'm now very happy that rock and metal has reached the final,” he says.
“I don’t quite know what I’m going to get involved in, but it’s a lot of fun,” laughs Ingrid Jasmine.
The Telemark artist made sure she and her dancers took an extra breath before taking to the stage.
-We worked hard for this. We stood backstage and held each other, saying we were going to have fun and enjoy ourselves. We did it.
Margaret Berger will be on home turf when the MGP Finals kick off in Trondheim Spektrum.
– It will be completely wild. This hall is a good place to attend MGP. I was there in 2020, and that's the atmosphere. “I've never experienced anything more brutal,” Berger says, adding that she lives in a bubble of joy.
-I'm incredibly happy. It was a great semi-final and I never took the lead for granted. now I'm very happy!
Jan Werner praised with KI
The first of the three semi-finals featured the returning winner, ballads and gothic rockers. As well as one of the demonstrators who cut off the broadcast.
It was 30 years since Jan Werner Danielsen and Elisabeth Andriessen sang “Duett” at the MGP. This was done through a performance in which the deceased Danielsen was recreated as an artificial intelligence avatar.
Brother Henning Danielsen expressed his appreciation for this honor.
– Now he can participate again, which is very nice, he said before the broadcast.
