Norway wreaked havoc with rivals during the European Commission Championships in Bresno-Osrblje last week. The Norwegian team opened the tournament with a quintet in the first 20-kilometer exercise for boys. After that, there were Norwegian runners on the podium in all the remaining practices.

In total, the team won 17 medals, including nine gold medals, and a total of seven competitors were responsible for the medals.
– The European Championships have been great for Norway, and it's especially great to have so many different medal winners. We have probably never had such a strong team at the European Championships, says Norwegian Ski Federation national team director Per Arne Butnan about the team's effort at this year's championships.
On Thursday, they pick up where they left off. All but one of the runners who competed at the European Championships have now been selected to take part in the IBF Cup in Arber, Germany, from February 1-3.
After the European Championships, the federation had to select a runner for the last place in the Women's World Cup squad. She received Ida Lien after two golds and two fourth places at the European Commission.
Instead, Ragnhild Femsteinevik joined the AIBA Cup squad this week.

The Biathlon Union selected 12 additional runners International Federation of Poker Cup in Germany This week, it is divided between six women and six men.
