Shop owner offers a unique offer to the thief who stole a bottle of rum worth NOK 7,900.

Vincent Raymond, the store's owner, described the stolen bottle as rare, with only 400 to 500 units available in all of France. “It took us years to obtain it,” Raymond noted, stressing the importance of the bottle.

In an attempt to resolve the situation without resorting to legal action, Raymond turned to social media to contact the thief.

He proposed a deal: If the thief returned the stolen bottle within a short period of time, the incident would be overlooked, and no charges would pursue.

“After a bottle of rum worth over €700 was stolen from our store on January 30, we will release the surveillance video in hopes of identifying you. If you choose to return the bottle to us immediately, we will ignore the incident. “The choice is yours,” Raymond offered.

Raymond pointed out that thefts are rare in his store and expressed his willingness to move past the incident if the bottle is returned.

He indicated that he would prefer to avoid filing a complaint, but said he would have to do so if the thief did not come forward by the beginning of the following week.

This approach by Raymond highlights the attempt to find a peaceful solution to the theft, giving the thief a chance to rectify the situation without facing legal consequences.
