We were a little surprised that Osloson was used on a competing channel.
NRK's entertainment editor, Charlo Halvorsen, said this last fall. At that time, it became known that the character “Oslolosen” played by 15-year-old Harald Eia (58), would return in TV 2's “Vinnerschkalle”.
– It took a long time for me to confess
Only a short time later it became known that the state channel had concluded an agreement with Eia regarding the use of the character, but the content of the agreement was not known.
When Se og Hør meets Harald Eia in connection with the TV 2 premiere, conflict naturally becomes a theme. When asked his opinion on what happened, the 58-year-old responded as follows:
– I didn't check the contract, but in my calm mind I thought it was a trick I developed while working at NRK, and it's true.
Furthermore, Iya explains that he was also on stage with the character in question.
– It takes a lot to break us
-I know my old boss, Charlo Halvorsen, very well, and nothing happened. “So officially they had rights, but it wasn't that serious,” he continues.
Before TV 2 became interested in using the character, it was no problem for Eia to use the character somewhere other than NRK.
– But when the rival channel TV 2 appeared, many people contacted NRK about this matter and they had to take action. But it worked very nicely. I had coffee with Charlo and Christina Rizk-Ressar, and they are not interested in destruction and very interested in solutions, so there was a small fee or some kind of license. Ea explains that he still has her.
The popular character Eia was launched in the NRK program “Ut i vår hage 2” in 2008, and later also appeared in other NRK programs. Now it has also been placed in the competition series on TV 2.
This is where the wedding will take place
– How is Oslosen released again?
– It's like learning to ride a bike because I can always pull it up, walk a little on my own and chat and keep it warm. It was very easy and fun to do, he says.
-I was bored for a while, but that's why it's fun to do. Usually he only has one tool, which is screaming and slapping, but here we had to make him calmer, more emotional and more patriotic. There are many emotions and he cares about those involved. It has become something artistic and interesting.
Despite the fact that many participants couldn't hold in their laughter when Eia appeared as a popular character, this wasn't something that made him crumble.
Great similarity: – Very beautiful
-I'm totally “into it.” Often I can start laughing at the answer, but I don't laugh at what I say myself. But if I get an answer that puts me on the bed a little, I might laugh a little. This character suits me so well that it makes sense to say I'm him. I could be him for a week straight.
He also points out the advantages of playing Osloson compared to other characters that the 58-year-old has also become known for.
– For example, when I wear Thomas Andre clothes, I feel old. When I wear this wig, I look so sick. He says with a laugh: It seems that I have a disease, and he confirms that “Oslo Man” is a character closer to his age.
Oslosen is still a person who returns home with his wife, Nadina Bouhlou (41 years old), and the rest of the family.
Complete confusion
– People will think I'm walking around and that Oslolos are at home, right? It's so far from reality. Everyone might think that Hermann Flesvig is “Ula Halvorsen” at home with his girlfriend, but that's not the case because it's work. But I could discuss the character with our club, asking, for example, whether it would be fun to be with Vixen or against her, he says, adding:
-I never talk like that to my kids. Sometimes I say to our club: “It would have been funny if Osloson had done that,” but to burden her with that kind of work… it's as if I would be ashamed if I saw myself from the outside.
