Rema-Reitan has now taken steps to prevent anyone from seeing where he uses the largest private jet he owns.

Reitan takes action after Nettavisen revealed in several articles, among other things, that Reitan's reason for using a private jet was incorrect.

Reitan initially claimed that the flights were necessary for business trips to the Baltics, Denmark and Finland. These are the countries where Raytan has stores.

But flight data revealed that the planes were primarily used on routes such as between Oslo and Trondheim.

The larger plane was also used regularly to Malaga, near the Retan family's holiday destination. In addition, it was used in Switzerland, where Odd Reitan's descendants live.

Many websites such as Planefinder and Flightradar24 monitor where all the planes in the world fly. But there are some exceptions, aviation expert and Flypodden presenter Christian Camhaug tells Nettavisen.

Military aircraft are not tracked, and you probably cannot track Air Force One (President's Plane, editor's note) instead of. Transport planes to Ukraine will also be exempt from tracking, Camhogue says.

Reitan currently has two private jets. The largest plane is a Falcon 2000. If you try to track this plane you get this message:

“Restricted. This plane is hidden from public view.”

This is the plane that Reitan used to spend his vacation in Spain.

Meanwhile, Reitan's smallest plane can still be traced. It is a helicopter that is mostly flown locally in Norway.

Nettavisen asked Reitan why the largest plane could no longer be tracked.

We also asked why they didn't want to track the plane, and how that relates to Reitan's values of openness and honesty.

Reitan confirmed that he had received the questions, but did not answer.
