“After surviving polio as a child, he lived for more than 70 years inside an iron lung. During this time Paul educated himself, became a lawyer, and published a book. The polio vaccine was invented in 1955, but by then it was too late for Paul Alexander, who could not move from the neck down.
He chose to continue using the iron lung, even though modern respirators have been around since the 1960s.

On February 27, the social media handler of Paul Alexander, known as Lincoln, posted a video on his TikTok page.
He said that Paul Alexander was infected with Corona, and was taken to the hospital.
