The Chappelle twins died at a Pennsylvania hospital on Sunday. The cause of death is not yet known.

Although the average life expectancy is 30 years, the twins lived more than twice as long as statistically expected.
The couple also engaged in their own interests despite their physical challenges. George was a successful country star, and Laurie, in turn, brought home a number of bowling accolades.
The latter also worked as a laundry worker in a hospital in the 1990s, at the same time that George traveled the world performing in Germany and Japan, among other places. He writes Guinness World Records.

According to the website, the twins lived an independent life in an apartment in Pennsylvania. Here they had, among other things, separate bedrooms, and they took turns sleeping in each room every night.
George's original name was Dory, but he chose to change his name to George after coming out as transgender in 2007.
The Chappelle twins are survived by their father and six siblings.
