A close family member of the band members has died, according to Gatt himself.

On Saturday evening, the winners of the Melodi Grand Prix Gåte were scheduled to perform with the Eurovision Song Contest “Ulveham” at the Rockefeller in Oslo.
The event is a Eurovision pre-party of the kind that has been organized for several years across Europe. However, tonight's event is the first of its kind in Norway.
The speaker is Martti Stokstad, and among the artists performing at MGP/ESC are well-known names, new and old, such as Alexander Rybak, Bobby Sox, Såpølver, Alessandra Mili, Kate Gullbrandsen, Markus & Martinus, Sweden's Heris, Danish Saba and Iceland's Hera Björk.
However, Gåte saw itself forced to declare bankruptcy.
“Due to the loss of a close family member, we unfortunately have to cancel our show at the Nordic Music Celebration: Eurovision Night 2024.”This was stated in a statement received at the event Social media.
Gåte's spokesperson Erle Strøm on All Things Live tells VG that the band has no further comment on the cancellation.
It further says that Gåte has not canceled and will not cancel other planned events.
The band wrote in their statement that they are grateful for the support in the lead-up to Eurovision in Malmö in May, and are looking forward to performing there.
According to Rockefeller website At the time of writing, there are only a few tickets remaining for tonight's concert.
