Malmö/Oslo (Netafsen): On Saturday evening, the winner of this year's Eurovision Song Contest was chosen in Malmö. It has been a dramatic day so far, as the Netherlands was banned, among other things, as a result of threatening Eurovision staff.
Croatia was the favorite for several days, but on Saturday evening it was decided that Switzerland would come out on top.
Maria Ludvigsen, entertainment commentator for Netavisen, expressed her delight at Switzerland's victory:
– Damn, I'm so happy! Hello Switzerland, says Ludwigsen.
It is also worth noting that the Norwegian songwriters are the ones behind the winning song for Switzerland.
Lasse Midtsian Nymann and Linda Dale are two of the four who wrote the song.

Norwegian failure
On the other hand, it was worse for Gat and Norge, who ended up in last place with only 16 votes.
– This is surprising. I didn't expect that, but it didn't resonate, neither with the jury nor with the people. It's something that happens from time to time, but Gåte has nothing to be ashamed of. They performed admirably, says Morten Thomassen, president of the MGP club in Nettavisen.

However, Ludvigsen had high expectations for Norway's contribution to this year's song contest:
– Best contribution yet, without a doubt! The puzzle has been delivered!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations Norway, congratulations JAT. I'm very proud. very happy! “We must win!” Ludvigsen said before the vote.
But she was disappointed that Norway ended up in last place:
-What's happening tonight???? We were the best when it came to singing and theatrical performances, she says and adds:
– It's sad that Europe doesn't see quality, but that's the way it is. We have to stand by that and I salute Jat!
