On Friday evening, Mbappe posted a four-minute video on social media in which he stated that he will leave Paris Saint-Germain when his contract expires at the end of the season.
The fact that the 25-year-old is leaving the club has reportedly been known to the French club for several months, but according to L'Equipe and Le Parisien, PSG were surprised by Mbappé's farewell video.
– I am grateful for all the emotions I experienced in this wonderful club. “These will be the last weeks of my adventure at Paris Saint-Germain,” Mbappé said in the video.

“Thankless”
In the video, he thanked the coaches, players and people behind the scenes at the great club. However, club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi did not receive any thanks, which was pointed out by many on social media.
Nasser Al-Khelaifi reportedly wanted to organize Karim's farewell to Mbappe.
He is said to have been upset when the 25-year-old chose to resign on Friday, making it “impossible” for the club to plan a proper send-off for him.
According to Le Parisien newspaper, the relationship between Mbappe and the club president cannot be saved, and Nasser Al-Khelaifi is said to believe that the star is “ungrateful.”
Mbappe's last home match in front of Parc des Princes fans was Sunday's match against Toulouse. Supporters bid him farewell with mixed feelings.
Before the match, he was greeted with a big tifo, but some fans also booed when his name was announced before the start of the match. It took just eight minutes for Mbappe to score in his final home match for Paris Saint-Germain.

To Real Madrid?
It has not yet been confirmed where Mbappe will continue his journey, but he has been strongly linked to Real Madrid for a long time.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has already announced that he agrees with the big Spanish club.
In his farewell video on Friday, Mbappe at least revealed that his future lies outside France, as he stated that he would be leaving the country and the French league.
