Recently, Norway was notified that it is not allowed to participate in the meetings of the High Ambition Group. The High Ambition Coalition (HAC), established by the Marshall Islands during the Climate Summit in Paris, is actively working to secure the most ambitious climate goals and agreements possible.
Not surprisingly, vulnerable island states are the driving forces behind an ambitious climate policy, given that climate change is going to overwhelm their entire livelihoods. But Norway has also been an active and proud member of the HAC. Until now.

The decision to kick Norway out of the climate club joins a long line of ever-growing dissatisfaction with Norway's climate efforts.
