On Monday, King Charles, 75, appointed Prince William, 41, as colonel of the Air Force.
Father and son were present at the Army Aviation Center in Hampshire, where Charles gave, among other things, an update on cancer.

The rank of Colonel was awarded in front of the Apache helicopter.
It is the same helicopter that Prince Harry (39 years old) flew in when he served in Afghanistan.
So, it might seem like a shot in Harry's direction the sun.
Good experience
The prince was in the Air Force for three years and, among other things, qualified to become an Apache commander in 2012. He also became a lieutenant in 2008.
One condition can be met
In 2020, Harry lost his military titles when he stepped back from his royal duties.
William was now commander of his brother's former regiment.

William himself has experience as a rescuer in the Air Force, and can put seven years of defense behind him.
Later, William was a pilot for the East Anglian Air Ambulance, which provides emergency care by helicopter across the English counties of Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.
A position from which he resigned in 2017.
Projected meeting
News of the title comes a week after Harry visited his home country without visiting his father, who is suffering from cancer.
The prince was in London to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.
He skips meeting his father
The king will then be “too busy” to meet his son, according to the prince's spokesman.
Harry was also in England in February to visit Charles after he discovered he had cancer.
The meeting between father and son is said to have only lasted about 30-45 minutes, and Harry returned to the United States after just one day in England.
