John Niklas Ronning has become a father for the third time

Actor John Niklas Ronning, 44, has revealed that he and girlfriend Kirsty Skarr Starvik have become parents. He shares the happy news on Instagram.

“Garman is here – and we have become the proud and happy parents of an amazing boy,” he captioned a photo of the young son and his girlfriend.

Explains the choice of name for Se og Hør.

– Kirsty and I are so happy to bring Jarman into our lives! It is a life-changing and very enjoyable experience. We wanted to honor and remember our dear friend, Ollie Baus, with the choice of name. That's why he's called Jarman, after Ollie's masterpiece from the 1972 recording. Ollie was a very close and good friend – and we thought it was only natural to name our son Jarman, as a gesture to Ollie and a daily reminder of everything he was doing. It has meaning for me and for us.

– It's a wonderful experience to look at Jarman's newborn and think that we will be closely intertwined throughout our lives. We very much look forward to continuing. The timing of the birth during the summer vacation was actually quite optimal.

Uli Baus died before Christmas 2023. In February of the following year, John paid tribute to Niklas Baus in a “Back to the Present” show.

-The missing piece of the puzzle

Before, John Niklas has sons Gabriel and Charlie, while Kirsty has a daughter Clara. At Christmas time 2022, John Nicklaus shared that he had found love again.

– Now it's no longer a secret. Kirsty and I are a couple! He confirmed his smile for Se og Hør at the Norwegian Review Writers Association's annual gala.

When asked what the actor had gotten into with Kjersti, he replied:

-Kirsty was the missing puzzle piece in my life. She is beautiful, wise, and caring. And funny of course. I am grateful to have her in my life as a friend.

Moreover, John Nicklaus can reveal that they met during the Corona pandemic.

He reveals the daughter's name

– It was the best thing that could come out of that time for me. “Kirsty is pure happiness,” he continued.

Kirsty also made no secret of what she had fallen into with John Nicklaus. She described him as a beautiful “sad man” who takes life seriously, and translates his experiences into love and humor.

“It hit me straight in the heart,” she added.

Last year, John Nicklaus staged the summer show Back to the Present in the idyllic southern town of Grimstad. On that occasion, he and his family rented a summer house, where they could barbecue, invite guests and just have fun.

When Se og Hør met the actor with his family, he was able to say that he and his son Gabriel have many good memories from Grimstad.

-Gabriel is my summer best friend. This is his fifth summer here. Every summer we return, we remember everything we did here together. He just told me he was at the local sidewalk ice cream stand where Ollie Paus taught him that soft serve ice cream tastes better with chocolate sprinkles, John Nicklas said with a laugh.

He further explained that Gabriel had a new playmate in Kirsty's daughter, Clara:

-Gabriel and Clara run backstage and into the restaurant in Apotekergaarden during the show. While we play, I watch from the stage as they run into the audience to their favorite songs. It's full speed ahead!

John Niklas Rønning emerged as one of the comedy duo “Bye & Rønning”, with Anders Bye (42). In 2018, John Niklas held his first solo show entitled “I Travel Alone” at Apothekegarden in Grimstad.

The following year he premiered his solo show on Latter. Ronning is also the first winner of the Norwegian Playwrights Association's Aristophanes Prize, which is given to young humor writers.
