Marathon runner and TikTok manager Govind Sandhu, 38, has been diagnosed with stage 4 non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Non-Hodgkin lymphoma is a form of cancer characterized by the uncontrolled growth of lymphatic tissue.
He shares his journey through aggressive cancer treatment on Instagram, saying the disease was a shock to him.
“What on earth? This wasn’t exactly part of my five-year plan. I thought I was in the best shape of my life, the healthiest I’ve ever been. A Crossfitter who runs ultras and marathons, lives and breathes training, optimal sleep and recovery, supplements and nutrition…,” a visibly devastated Sandhu shares in an Instagram video.

He also says he received the message shortly after running a half marathon in Sydney, Australia.

He showed his girlfriend who is 25 years younger than him.
In another clip, he describes how after the race he felt flu-like symptoms, with neck, knee and shoulder pain, and “severe night sweats” that kept waking him up. This led him to go to the doctor.
He is now undergoing treatment, which initially consists of six rounds of chemotherapy over five months. The 38-year-old appears to be coping well with the treatment at the moment, but he admits that receiving the notification was difficult.
– Cancer is so complex, confusing and nuanced. When you're first diagnosed, it's so hard to understand what it really means for you, and it's such a personal journey. For me, it's about taking it day by day, step by step.
