The move comes on the heels of similar changes from Apple and Google, both of which have tweaked their product lines.
According to information from Androidheadlines.com, details of the new devices have been found in Samsung's database, including the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Ultra, but the S25+ has not been found.
So this could point to the removal of the Plus model from the lineup. While the source has not been verified, access to the IMEI database adds credibility to the claim, which also seems likely given the decisions of competitors.
The Galaxy S25 and S25 Ultra models are identified by specific codes in the database. The Galaxy S25 is listed as SM-S931B/DS, while the S25 Ultra is listed as SM-S938B, SM-S938U, SM-S938N, and SM-S9380, where “B” stands for global, “U” for US, and “N” for South Korea.

This change could also be a strategy by Samsung to boost sales of the more advanced Ultra model. Following the launch of the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung saw a significant increase in pre-orders compared to the previous model, with more than 65 percent of customers opting for the premium version, the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
