Bodø/Glimt have received a record offer for midfielder Albert Gronbæk (23 years old), and according to Nettavisen's information, the offer should have come from Ligue 1 side Rennes.
On Monday, it became known that intensive negotiations and talks had taken place about the Dane's possible transfer.
Glimt are not keen on selling Grønbæk in the first place. However, the midfield gem is himself interested in a move to Rennes, and talks are ongoing to find a solution that satisfies all parties.

Bodø/Glimt and coach Kjetil Knutsen will soon play important Champions League qualifiers and would prefer not to lose their best players.
Knutsen: – Always great interest

The former club, among others, Birger Melling, Anders Konradsen, Alexander Tettey and Kjetil Rekdal, are said to have put €14 million on the table in an attempt to bring Groenbeek south to Brittany. The sum corresponds to approximately NOK 170 million.

Knutsen stresses that part of the Bodø/Glimt model is to cultivate players who are attractive to others. He admits that the alternative, of them failing to do so, is worse and in this case would indicate a lack of development in the Aspmyra team.
– There is always a new player who ends up in this situation. As a club, we have to deal with each individual situation in the best possible way. We have had them before, and we will have more of them in the future, Knutsen confirms.

Albert Gronbäck did not wish to speak to Avisa Nordland or other media during Tuesday's training.
The offer received by Glimt is much higher than the amount that led to the most expensive sale ever for the Eliteserien. That happened in January 2023, when former Molde striker David Datro Fofana (21 years old) disappeared from the Aker Stadium to Chelsea.

The Ivorian was sold for NOK 130 million. In the same month, Benfica also paid almost NOK 120 million to bring in Rosenborg striker and Grønbæk compatriot Kasper Tingstedt (24).
Rennes, or Stade Rennais FC as the club is officially known, finished 10th in Ligue 1 last season. But late in the 2022-23 season, the Red Shirts are firmly in fourth place in Ligue 1.
