Last year, Rumer Willis, 35, and her boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas, 30, were able to share the happy news that they had become parents for the first time.

Willis has since regularly shared insights into motherhood, and has previously opened up about how her body changed after pregnancy.
“This body created a human being from scratch and it looks a little different now… Now it’s softer and rounder and a little different, and it’s okay, more than okay. It’s incredible, because I created a person inside of it.”

But while the 35-year-old could almost be called a mummy blogger, her latest Instagram post is now generating reactions.
In a whirlwind on the platform, she shared a number of photos of herself breastfeeding her daughter.
“I am so grateful that our journey has been so wonderful. Breastfeeding has been one of the best experiences of my life with Lou, who is still breastfeeding her 16-month-old.

Additionally, Willis wrote that she feels proud that she had an easy time with breastfeeding, because she knows that many struggle with it.
“Unfortunately, there are far too many women who don’t get the support and help they need, especially in those crucial first few days together. What means the most to me is creating a space where we can support women and their breastfeeding journey, so everyone can experience how amazing it is.”

However, it's not the fact that her daughter is still breastfeeding, or the message for that matter, that people are reacting to. It's how much she shows in the photos — or rather how little privacy her 16-month-old has — that has many people taking to the comments section to voice their opinions.
“Was this really necessary??” one user asks.
“It's nothing special anymore,” says another. “Moms should know better and not post pictures like this.”
“So, I understand the message and support it. But some things are better kept private,” adds a third.
“We really don't need to see all of that to understand the message,” a fourth user continues, while a fifth writes:
“Some of those pictures are way off the mark. There's really no need to share.”

Respond to criticism
This isn't the first time the 29-year-old has received criticism for sharing “everything” on social media. In the past, she has found herself having to respond to backlash.
