Max recently released a trailer featuring clips from several upcoming series for the streaming service, including “The White Lotus,” “The Penguin,” and the new “Game of Thrones” spinoff “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.”

However, one of the things that has generated the most excitement is the clips from season two of “The Last of Us.”

Watch the clips here:

Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey are of course back as Joel and Ellie in season 2, and the trailer itself revolves around a conversation between Joel and an as-yet-unknown role played by Catherine O'Hara. We see O'Hara's character ask if Joel hurt Ellie, to which he tearfully replies, “I saved her.”

Anyone who watched the first season knows that Joel chose to save Ellie from a procedure that took her life (but saved the world), and fans are practically in meltdown over the clips being presented.

Fans of the game also seem to be happy with the teaser, not least the glimpse we got of Abby (Kaitlyn Dever):

The teaser also offers a glimpse at Dina (Isabela Merced) and Isaac, played by Jeffrey Wright who also voiced the character in the game.

As is well known, at least to fans of the game, a full five years pass between the events of Season 1 and Season 2, as happened in the games. How this problem is resolved in terms of narrative is a matter of great tension.

When will The Last of Us season 2 be released?

The Last of Us season 2 has been confirmed to arrive in 2025, and the season will consist of only seven episodes compared to the nine episodes of the first season.

Series creator Craig Mazin explained above: Delivery time The sheer amount of material from the game's history meant that the series' creators had to find natural stopping points, which turned out to come after just seven episodes. The exact release date has not been confirmed, but one thing is for sure – we are waiting with bated breath.
