In a new interview, the England national team player does not rule out a move from the Premier League.

Raheem Sterling has recently been linked with a move away from Manchester City after a lack of playing time this season.

Last season, Sterling was one of Pep Guardiola’s most trusted men, but so far this season there have only been four games since the club’s first ten games for the attacking player.

In an interview at the Business of Sport Summit in the US at the Financial Times in New York, the 26-year-old now reveals he can imagine a new challenge, after questions about when to play.

I’m not one to complain, and I haven’t tried to make it any bigger than it is now. I work and do what I need. Sterling says I just want to play football regularly and score regularly

– If there is an opportunity to go elsewhere, I am open to it now, he says.

Meanwhile, Sterling says both France and Spain could be tempting, possibly targeting big clubs like Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

As an English player, the Premier League is the only thing I know. I always knew that maybe one day I would love to play outside and see how I handled this challenge.

The biggest challenge with the national team

Sterling was one of England’s best players during this summer’s European Championship, contributing three goals when they reached the final.

The enthusiasm among the English fans was overwhelming throughout the tournament. At the same time, Sterling says that the relationship with English journalists has improved a lot, after the England national team has long been criticized for its achievements in previous tournaments.

– It was the biggest challenge with the national team for many years. We built this bridge to the point where we are happy to come (at the national team rally). You see people from the press and you don’t feel like someone is looking for you.
