“Special forces from the Islamic Emirate are now at the site to determine what happened and bring those responsible to justice,” Qari Syed Khosti said.
The Islamic Emirate is the Taliban’s name for Afghanistan after its capture.

It is not known who was behind Friday’s attack, but the Islamic extremist group ISIS claimed responsibility earlier this month for a similar attack on a Shiite mosque in Kunduz province that killed 46 people.
The Islamic State is the sworn enemy of the Taliban and has carried out a number of other attacks since it seized power.
