Many arrested
It is with a heavy heart that I must report that we have unfortunately found Major Harris dead. This is an ongoing investigation, and a confusing issue at this time. My thoughts and condolences are with the family, Milwaukee Police Inspector Jeffrey Clark said at a press conference Tuesday.
Harris was last seen on October 9 – four days after the murder of his 25-year-old mother, Mallery Muenzenberger. She was found last Thursday with several bullet wounds.
A three-year-old boy was found three days later
A 20-year-old man is considered a suspect in the case of Harris’s disappearance and a “significant person” in the murder of his mother. Wbay TV reported that the man was found dead last Sunday.
Police have arrested six other people in the case, but have not publicly identified any of the suspects.
Heartbreaking to say goodbye
The Muenzenberger family said in a statement that she was a victim of domestic violence. They did not choose to comment further on the specifics of the case, as it is still under investigation, according to Fox 6.
It is heartbreaking to have to prepare to say our last goodbye to Mallery who was taken from us in such a brutal way. When we looked through her stuff, we came across a school project she had in high school. There she chose to write about raising awareness of domestic violence. Mallery himself died as a result of domestic violence in October, which is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the family statement said.

The family did not make a public statement about the death of the three-year-old.
Major’s father, Carlton Harris, immediately left his home in West Virginia for Wisconsin when he learned that his son was missing and Muenzenberger had been murdered. He also participated in the search for the three-year-old.
Harris described his son as a happy, lively boy who is always smiling.
Missed since June
On Thursday, he learned that his son had been found dead. According to a WISN-TV reporter, he broke down in grief when he received the heavy letter.
The police stated that they began searching for the pilot as soon as it became known that he had disappeared. They also report that an “amber alert” was sent in early October.
