Seven cars caught fire in the area in the last 24 hours.
– Vehicle fire. Emergency services are at the scene and extinguishing efforts are underway, the Oslo Police District writes in X shortly before midnight.
Police suspect that the fire, which was put out immediately, may have been arson.
Another fire broke out at 01.15 hrs.
– Something burned under a car. It was extinguished before it spread to the car. Police say it appears to be another attempt to set a vehicle on fire.
Five cars caught fire in Kjelsås and Grefsen in Oslo overnight and into Thursday morning.
– Do you suspect the fire has anything to do with it?
– Anyway, we register that it's night again, the same area we worked on yesterday, it's exactly the same area, operations manager Bjørn Gunnar Nysæter tells VG around 00.15.
Police are on duty through Friday night and are asking nearby residents to go home to avoid disruption.

Police said they believe the fire was set Thursday morning.
– None of these fires started by themselves. All are being treated as intentional and foul play, Police Chief Torey Burstad told VG.
– Has anyone been arrested yet?
– So far we have no arrests. Nysæter says Friday night that we have a lot of evidence, we have tested many people, but no one is suspicious.
