USA: A Russian fighter collided with an American drone

A Russian Su-27 fighter crashed into the propeller of a US Reaper MQ9 drone over the Black Sea, according to Reuters.

The American drone crashes into the sea as a result of the collision. This was stated by the US military.

– Our MQ9 drone was carrying out routine operations in international airspace when it collided with a Russian plane, causing it to crash and be completely damaged, said General James Hecker of the US Air Force, according to Agence France-Presse.

Hecker is the commander of the US Air Forces in Europe and Africa.

– This dangerous and unprofessional action on the part of the Russians almost caused both planes to crash, says Hecker.

The MQ-9 Reaper is an American large unmanned aerial vehicle capable of remotely piloted or autonomous flight operations.

A spokesman for the US National Security Council, John Kirby, said President Biden will be briefed.

He says that American planes should continue over the Black Sea.

– We don’t need to clear it up with the Russians when we fly over the Black Sea, says Kirby.

The US Department of Defense, the Pentagon, announced a press conference on the 19th.

Russia has not yet commented on the matter.
